Adnan Ashraf, 35, along Toddler Son Died after Car Being Chased Crashed into them in Sheffield

Adnan Ashraf Jarral, 35, and his son, Usman Adnan Jarral, died when Mr Jarral's VW people carrier was hit by a VW Golf which was being pursued by police in Sheffield on Friday night.



A 50 year old man and a 41-year-old woman were also killed when their VW Touran was struck by a black VW Golf at 8.50pm.



Two other people - a 22-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl - also remain in hospital with serious injuries following the collision.



The little boy was pronounced dead at hospital and three other passengers in the people carrier including a three-year-old girl were also injured.



Adnan Ashraf Jarral was born in Khuiratta Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and came to Britain as a business student, He left behind a 3 years old son and 6 years old step son.



Mr Jarral's married, Tahreen originally from Slovakia and had converted to Islam and changed her name.



Couple had a lot of friends in Slovakian community and Mr Jarral had learned the Slovakian language.



The couple had returned from London with another family - friends of his wife - when the crash happened on Friday evening.



It is believed the VW Touran was preparing to turn right into Bannham Road when it was involved in the collision.



IOPC regional director Miranda Biddle said: ‘As soon as we were informed, we sent investigators to the scene and we will be carrying out an independent investigation to establish what actions South Yorkshire Police took prior to the crash. ‘This is standard procedure when lives are lost following an incident involving the police.





The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has launched an investigation.
