Court Acquitted Actress Mishi Khan in a Fraud case after 3 Years

A civil court has announced the verdict in Actor Mishi Khan fraud case on Tuesday .



No evidence was found against the actor, the verdict said. The judge, Chaudary Asjad, announced the verdict after both sides concluded their arguments.



In July 2015,  homeopathic lady doctor Afshan Khan had hired Mishi to run an advertising campaign for her her clinic and beauty salon and had paid her Rs 450,000 via cheque.

Dr Afshan contended that the actress had taken the money, but did not run the campaign.

A First Information Report was lodged against the actress by the New Town Police Station. During the hearing, judge Kashif Javed indicted the actress for criminal breach of trust.

The case was being heard for the past three years with seven different judges in the chair.

Mishi Khan who was represented by her lawyer Advocate Nabila Shaheen Bangash prayed the court that the amount was given to the advertising agency’s owner through a cheque and the actor had no hand in using the funds as she was only hired by them.

But now a civil court Judge, Chaudary Asjad acquitted actor Mishi Khan in a fraud case on Tuesday after no evidence was found against the actor, the verdict said.
