Drug dealing brothers Anib Khan, 23, and older brother Harras, 25, who were caught on camera shooting a gang rival Taimoor Zaheer, 20, dead in broad daylight have been jailed for life.

Both brothers ran a drug dealing operation in Sandwell, got into a row with Mr Zaheer on May 21,   after they were attempting to exert control over their illegal business in the Handsworth area.

The following day, on May 22, the brothers were getting into their car when they saw Mr Zaheer with two friends in his Vauxhall Vectra when Anib shot him dead in Birmingham.

Anib Khan fired at Mr Zaheer at point-blank range through the open window before fleeing with his brother.

Mr Zaheer died at the scene while shooting, Anib tried to flee to Amsterdam with his girlfriend Nahima Begum but was arrested by police at Dover as he tried to leave the country by ferry.

Anib shaved his beard a couple of hours after the shooting in Maxwell Avenue in a bid to change his appearance.

Nahima Begum was found guilty of assisting her killer boyfriend Anib Khan at Birmingham Crown Court.

Taimoor Zaheer was lured in his Vauxhall Vectra car to the road by brothers Harras and Anib Khan following an earlier confrontation, fuelled by what was described in court as a “drugs turf war”.

Harras Khan was a Sandwell drug lord, and was jailed for six years in 2015 .  He had been drug dealing for six years and him and his team would hire a fleet of rental cars to avoid detection.

Anib Khan and Harras Khan have been found guilty of murder and were jailed for life at Birmingham crown court.
