Family Paid Tribute to Woman, 36, Died following a collision on the A50 near Derby

Rajwinder Kaur Atwal, 36, from Littleover, died at the scene of the collision that took place on Thursday, November 22.





She died on the A50 eastbound carriageway just after the Derby South services at Shardlow last Thursday at around 6.40am after she was hit by a lorry.


The family of a woman has paid tribute to her, say their "hearts are broken" family statement said: “It is with great sadness and sorrow that our beloved and very beautiful Rajwinder Kaur Atwal passed away on the morning of Thursday, November 22.

"Our hearts are broken and we don’t know how we will continue on but know that we will remember her each and every day. She will remain forever in our hearts".


Sergeant Scott Riley, from Derbyshire police’s Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was driving eastbound between junctions 2 and 1 between 6am and 6.45am to contact us, especially if they have dash cam footage.


Officers are keen to speak to anyone was driving eastbound on the A50 that morning, who saw a black Astra pulled into the side after the services or a pedestrian beside the road.
