Husband Accused of Murdering Wife, had told friends 'one day she will end up being murdered'

Jessica Patel, 34, died at the house in Linthorpein May after being allegedly strangled and suffocated with a Tesco Bag for Life.

Alexandra Hartill, who received medical supplies from the Roman Road pharmacy where the Patels worked and later befriends with him, said, Mitesh Patel, had once told her,



"He would like to get a shutter on his door for extra safety, as Jess was stupid and she’d open the door to anybody, and that one day she would end up being murdered." she said.

The court heard that Mitesh, said to a PC at their home in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough: "Have you got a favourite pizza? I was going to get a ham pizza and I thought she doesn’t like ham.

Jurors  at Teesside Crown Court have heard that Patel cheated on his wife to meet men, The 37-year-old is accused of murdering her so he could make a new life with his boyfriend in Australia.

The trial has already heard that Jessica's DNA has been found on the inside of a Tesco Bag for Life, which may have been used when she was killed.
