During the farewell moments of PM Imran’s two-day visit to Malaysia, Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali asked him during a photo op: “Prime minister, can I hold your hand?”
“Sure!” PM Imran replied with amusement and the delightful moments drew chuckles from the audience and from his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohamad who was standing alongside.
Later, Malaysian premier came to the airport to bid farewell to PM Imran Khan.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad for his warm hospitality & I want to thank his Ministers & the Malaysian business community for welcoming us in the spirit of friendship. This trip will strengthen ties between our two countries.
I especially want to thank the gracious Mrs Mahathir Mohamad for the wonderful lunch she arranged for us.
PM Imran also invited Dr Mahathir to visit Pakistan as chief guest on Pakistan Day on March 23. The invitation was accepted by the Malaysian prime minister.
