Nahima Begum, 24, from Bordesley Green, jailed for assisting Anib Khan, 23, after murder of Taimoor Zaheer, 20, who was shot dead as he sat in his car in Maxwell Avenue, Handsworth.

Nahima Begum claimed she knew nothing about the murder of Taimoor Zaheer but a jury at Birmingham Crown Court today found her guilty of assisting an offender.

Anib Khan and his older brother Harras Khan, 25, were convicted of murdering Taimoor Zaheer in what the prosecution claimed was a drugs turf war.

Nahima Begum an accountancy worker, had a good job with a reputable firm and had no previous convictions.

Sh had only known Khan for a matter of months, threw away a good job and her freedom for a cold blooded killer.

She had met Anib Khan in January and spent time at the cinema together and enjoying meals out. But during that time they had grown incredibly close and the feared drug dealer "trusted her completely."

She even agreed to secure Anib Khan a house under her name, as his credit rating wold not have allowed him to get one under his own name.

On May 22 this year when both brother allegedly killed Taimoor, Anib Khan called Nahima Begum and requested "Need a big favour. Like massive."

She grab a coat, extra pair of shoes, tights and a dress which she shoved in her glove box and went to Star City in her red Seat Ibiza car to pick Anib Khan and drove head to Dover.

Police were later alerted after French border officials spotted Anib Khan at 4am the following morning at passport control.

Both of them were arrested by police, when they claimed they are going on holiday.

She told police they are going to Amsterdam, capital of Netherlands but actually she was helping her cold-blooded killer boyfriend to flee the country.

Now she is set to spend time behind bars for helping the less known killer boyfriend Anib Khan.
