Pregnant Mum, Sana, 35, Killed with Crossbow By Ex, Unborn baby delivered by cesarian in Ilford

Eight months pregnant Sana Muhammad, 35, mother-of-five was hit by a bolt and was rushed to hospital where medics delivered her baby son with the arrow still lodged in her abdomen.




Her husband, Imtiaz Muhammad, 42. went to the shed at 7.30am to put a cardboard TV box away and discovered the armed attacker he ex husband of his wife was standing there hiding inside with the crossbow loaded at an address in Applegarth Drive, Ilford on Monday, 12 November.


Imtiaz shouted 'run, run, run' as the killer chased him with Crossbow into the kitchen and fired the weapon.


Sana was standing at the sink in kitchen when the arrow hit her in presence of children aged 1, 4, 12 and 17.

The arrow went up into her heart but did not touch the unborn baby. The baby was due in four weeks.


Imtiaz, said her killer was hiding in the shed before attacking them, he fears the killer may have been aiming for him when he hit his wife.


Dying mother was rushed to hospital and her baby was delivered by caesarian.  The tiny baby, who relatives have named Ibrahim, is now being looked after in hospital, where doctors say he is in a stable condition.

Sana's ex-husband, Ramanodge Unmathallegadoo, 50, has been charged with murder.

Sana was born in Mauritius, had been a Hindu and had married Ramanodge Unmathallegadoo, whom she had 2 children.

Sana was married to Ramanodge much older than her, in an arrange marriage event and both lived in Newbury Park.


Her marriage with Ramanodge Unmathallegadoo fell apart, she met with Imtiaz a Muslim man originally from Pakistan and she converted to Islam about 7 years to marry with him and changed her name to Sana from Devi Unmnthallegadoo.

They have two children together and were looking forward to welcoming their third.
