Rafaqat Ali, 38, and Fazal Ilahi, 62, charged with attempted murder in Blackburn

Two men and a boy have been charged with attempted murder following a report of public order in Blackburn on Tuesday night.

At 22:34 hours on Tuesday (27th November), we were called to reports of a large scale disturbance on Rhyl Avenue. Officers and paramedics attended and a number of people were found with significant injuries.


Rafaqat Ali, 38, of Tenby Close, Blackburn and Fazal Ilahi, 62, of Tenby Close, Blackburn have been charged with attempted murder.


A 13 year old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with attempted murder.


All three have been remanded to appear before Preston Crown Court tomorrow (Saturday 1 December).
A 36-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.



He was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries and is now in police custody. Two men aged 43 and 24 remain at hospital with serious injuries.
