Taimoor Zaheer, 20, lured to Death, Alleged Drugs Turf War with Brothers Anib Khan, Harras Khan

Taimoor Zaheer, 20 was lured into a trap before he was shot in the face in a public execution style killing in Handsworth, Birmingham. He was shot with gun in face.



Brothers Anib Khan, 23, and Harras Khan, 25, both of Crompton Road, Handsworth, alleged for trapping him after a drugs “turf war” between him and two brothers.


Prosecuting Karaim Khailil told:

Murder was probably linked to some sort of drugs turf war and was carried out by the two brothers who were angry and determined to show who was in charge.


Bother brothers have denied murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. Nahima Begum, 24, of Botha Road, Bordesley Green, has pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender.


It is said that there was a disagreement with the Khan brothers last spring which was likely to be related to drug dealing in the Handsworth area.


Both brothers and Mr Zaheer 'Shouted at each other and exchange words between them after Mr Zaheer had driven past in a Vauxhall Vectra from Khan brothers house.


Later Zaheer was blocked by brothers at Maxwell Avenue in Handsworth. Anib Khan was pointing the gun towards the victim, victim said, “Go on then.”


 Harras Khan told his brother to “Blast him with it” and continued “Then immediately Anib Khan pulled the trigger and shot Taimoor in the face.


The case continues.
