Gang Jailed for 30 years, to sell as much heroin as possible' in Nottingham

A drugs gang who plotted to sell as much heroin as possible "as long as it could be done" has been jailed for more than 30 years.





Kilos of heroin were seized during Operation Orchard which they had conspired to plague the streets of Nottingham and Leicester with drugs in order to make substantial profits and benefit from a life of crime.



Perry O'Dea, 31, came to Nottingham to collect drugs and deliver the cash from their sale and was arrested with heroin at Leicester Railway Station.



Perry O'Dea pleaded guilty with defendants Dean Haynes and Mohammed Waheed between March 26, 2017, and April 11, 2017.

Haynes, 30, of Sullivan Close, St Ann's, and Waheed, 29, of Kentwood Road, Sneinton, pleaded guilty to a second conspiracy charge - to supply heroin between April 24, 2017, and May 10, 2017.

Co-accused Shazad Ahmed, 36; Harron Ahmed, 32; Zahid Khan, 51, all of Hipperholme, Brighouse, Calderdale, were all found guilty on this allegation after a trial in July.

Waheed was jailed for five years and nine months. Harron Ahmed received eight-and-half years and Zahid Khan got seven years.
