Shameless Fazal, 32, Jailed for 8 years, Supply £3million Heroin after freed early for 'good behaviour'

Mohammed Fazal, 32, of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, had been locked up for eight years after police seized £1m of heroin and cocaine he was trading and uncovered a £500,000 cannabis factory.  He set up a new  crime empire - just two hours after being freed early 'good behaviour'.

A decision by a parole board, meant he served less than half his stretch and within hours of being let out Fazal met his old underworld contacts and set up a new drug trafficking racket which spanned the North of England and the Midlands.

He activated two mobile phones and planned the the ferrying of 13kg of cocaine and heroin worth up to £3m to towns and cities including Manchester, Halifax. West Yorks and Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs.

He also enlisted the help of a former cellmate and used a team of couriers and distributors.

The court heard the father of two had originally been arrested in April 2013 when neighbours became suspicious about a 'potent stench' of marijuana coming from a flat he was linked to in Rochdale.

Officers found a large cannabis farm inside with 50 plants harvested with a street value of £43,000 plus £50,000 of heroin and cocaine and drug manufacturing equipment. Later heroin worth up to £1m was found at another property.

In November 2013 Fazal was jailed for eight years for possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Police said the sentences would 'no doubt serve as a deterrent to anyone else who think they can make money delving in to this abhorrent trade.'

But on June 5 2017, Fazal was freed on parole and within hours picked up two encrypted mobile phones, one for daily use and the other to use as a disposable 'burner' to use in drug dealing.

Between June 2017 and May 2018 cocaine and heroin were supplied between Mohammed Fazal's organised crime gang and another dealer in Halifax.

Police rounded up the gang after officers searched a house in Rochdale in December 2017 and discovered half a kilo of cocaine as well as heroin.
