Waqar lambasted the former PCB chairman, saying that Sethi was playing ‘dirty politics’ as he is no more the chief of the cricketing board. “Your [Najam Sethi] days in cricket are well over dear..Stick to your dirty politics,” said Younis, in a tweet on Monday.
Replying to an interview that surfaced online where Najam Sethi commented that
‘PEOPLE ADVISED ME AGAINST BRINGING WAQAR YOUNUS BACK BUT I DID,’
Talking about Waqar Younis, who worked as Pakistan cricket head coach before resigning in 2016, Sethi said people had advised him against bringing Waqar Younus back, but he did.
His performance was not up to the mark and he later started speaking against me, he said. “I don’t know what I have done wrong for him; I was the one who brought him,” said Sethi.
Sethi also said that Waqar’s performance wasn’t at par and that is why he was removed from the position. He took a jab at Mohsin Hassan Khan, Wasim Akram and other members of Cricket Committee.
Waqar lashed out on Najam after he thought Sethi called him “Sifarashi Tola” telling him that “Your days in cricket are well over dear” and he should “stick to his dirty politics”
