Worst Robber of Birmingham Shadab Zahir, 28, Jailed for 6 Years

Shadab Zahir, 28, along with his accomplice stole an empty cash box from a security guard and parked their getaway car below a CCTV camera have been jailed.



Shadab Zahir along with Emad Suwaid,  23, of Little Hill Grove, Kings Norton, lay in wait for the guard in Woodcock Street on April 11.



The victim threw the cash box away as Zahir and a third accomplice charged at him. They then ran back towards the Cougar, which was on false plates which was parked directly beneath a CCTV camera.

The guard fought back as they were running and Zahir's mobile phone were dropped at the scene.



Suwaid, who was driving the car, had abandoned it near a multi-storey car park.



Police found drink cans with DNA left on them and angle grinderwhich they planned to use to cut the box open, a scarf and the correct number plates.



 Zahir had changed his clothes in a bid to change his appearance while CCTV showed him appearing to be looking for something, which was likely to be the mobile phone he had left behind.



Shadab Zahir was sentenced to six years and five months while Suwaid was jailed for eight years and one month at Birmingham crown court.
