Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, 36, and Tennis star Sania Mirza, 32, became proud parents to a baby baby boy is born in Hyderabad Deccan, India.
Shoaib Malik tweeted:
#BabyMirzaMalik boy is here! Baby and mother are all smiles, the dad is over the moon
In another tweet he wrote:
Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik.
The couple, who got married in 2010, had confirmed the pregnancy news in April this year.
The pair took to their respective social media accounts and posted an illustration of a locker room, stating their surnames 'baby's surname would be Mirza-Malik'.
Couple also announced their child will not have Pakistani or Indian nationality.
There were also rumours that the tennis star has already given birth to a baby boy.
Shoaib, who reunited with Sania after the recently concluded Asia Cup 2018, took to Twitter to make an appeal to his fans.
"We will do a proper announcement when the kid decides to arrive, please keep us in your Duas (and don’t believe everything you see/read on the internet please!)," Shoaib tweeted.
Mirza, who took a break to have her baby, is aiming to be back on the court for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
