Aqib Khan, 26, of Arboretum Street, Normanton, Derby a drug dealer who was found with £10,000 in a Gucci bag swore at a judge as he was sent to jail for 5 and a half years.
Police stopped him while he was driving an Audi, during search police found £9,480 in a knotted plastic Gucci bag. Further search discovered £80 in the glove box, and a further £80 in his wallet.
He claimed he got money from someone to get the things 'sort out' at a wedding. But it was found that that money came from “drug-dealing activities”.
There was no record of employment or legitimate income of Khan, during the period of the offences, between January 2014 and December 2015.
Khan buy a VW Golf for £35,000, putting down a deposit of £20,000 for a Mercedes, and forking out £2,000 for laser eye surgery.
Khan was on bail for money laundering offence, when police searched a property in Whitaker Street, Derby, and found “heroin, cocaine, amphetamine and mamba” - Khan was then charged with the supply of class-A heroin.
Khan appeared via video link at Derby Crown Court, he faced two counts of used or possessed criminal property and one count of supplying heroin.
He was jailed for 5 and a half years, but before the television screen was switched off, Khan swore at the judge.
