3 British Pakistani Brothers Jailed for 20 Years for Firearms and Drugs Offences in Manchester

Three brothers have been jailed for total 20 years after an assault rifle was found at a Manchester safe house.



Safeer Ali, 36,  Khateer Ali, 35,  and Qabeer Ali, 32,  all from Holst Avenue, Cheetham Hill, have been sentenced at Manchester Crown Court, on 13 December 2018, after pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess a firearm and ammunition and to the supply of Class A drugs.



In September 2017 officer raided at a flat on Victoria Avenue in Blackley and found stash of Class A drugs, with an approximate street value of £38,000, hidden in a divan bed and a holdall full of guns and ammunition.



The gun packed so much power that the bullet penetrated the wall of a house and travelled straight through to the other side.



Safeer Ali, of Holst Avenue, Cheetham Hill pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess a firearm and ammunition. He was sentenced to nine years and six months in prison.



His brothers Qabeer Ali, 32, also of Holst Avenue, pleaded guilty to the supply of Class A drugs was sentenced to six years.



Third brother Khateer Ali, 35, also of Holst Avenue, pleaded guilty to the supply of Class A drugs and was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.



Detective Constable Robert Ashurst said, “This was an extremely complex investigation, thankfully, we’ve been able to bring a stop to the Ali brothers who posed a significant risk to the North Manchester community, in particular Cheetham Hill.
