How much PM Imran Khan Spent on his Foreign Trips in 100 Days

A sum of over Rs40.381 million has been incurred on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s air travels abroad since holding the office on August 18.



The information has been submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the National Assembly, local media reported on Monday.

In the written reply, the ministry reveals that the prime minister undertook six trips from September 18 to November 20, 2018, after assuming the office in August.

The premier went to Saudi Arabia on his maiden one-day foreign trip and the total expenses incurred on it remained Rs3.99m while Rs433,000 were spent on his tour to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

he ministry’s reply further shows that he had spent Rs870,000 on his second two-day long visit to Riyadh.

The list of the Khan’s visits shows a maximum expenditure of Rs24.4m was incurred on his five-day long trip to China to get a bailout package and call on Chinese President Xi Jinping and other officials.

The cost of his second trip to Abu Dhabi has been told as Rs3.99 million in the written reply submitted by the foreign ministry.

Around Rs7.54 million has been incurred on his recent official tour to Malaysia where PM Imran held meetings with his counterpart Mahathir Mohamad and other Malaysian officials.
