Wedding held in Mumbai on Wednesday but festivities began weeks ago, starting in September with an engagement party at a lakeside Italian palace. Over the weekend, thousands attended pre-wedding parties in Udaipur, where Beyonce performed and former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton was seen dancing with Shah Rukh Khan.
The wedding is being hosted by the bride's father, businessman Mukesh Ambani, 61, who has an estimated fortune of $41.5 billion (£33.1 billion), at his towering 27-storey Mumbai home.
The venue was lavishly decorated as Isha’s brothers Anant and Akash, father Mukesh and uncle Anil welcomed the baaraat. Shloka Mehta, fiance of Anant Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, rumoured girlfriend of Akash Ambani, were also part of the welcoming party.
The entire street was decorated with elaborate floral arrangements and crowds of residents turned out to line road and watch the arrivals.
The pop star Beyoncé pocketed $6 million, she was paid $2 million to sing five songs for Colonel Gaddafi's son in St Barts back in 2010.
As per reports, the week-long extravagant wedding is estimated to cost about $100 million.
The newlyweds will head to move into their $64-million diamond-themed mansion at the Gulita building in Mumbai.
Isha Ambani’s father, Mukesh Ambani, is the 19th richest man in the world, with a net worth of $43.4 billion, according to Forbes.
Anand Piramal father has an estimated net worth of $$5.4 billion, according to Forbes, making him the 24th wealthiest person in India.
