Forhad Ahmed, 28, of Binnie Street, Barkerend, Bradford, has been jailed for 27 months for a sustained attack on a staff member at a Bradford furniture store.
The incident happened at a furniture store at Instyle on Feather Road, Barkerend where Sajid Javed was working on the afternoon of March 15 2017.
Forhad Ahmed kicked and stamped on Sajid Javed and repeatedly struck him with a bunch of keys.
Sajid Javed was working as a retail assistant in the back room at the store when he heard a confrontation involving a relative that managed the shop.
Mr Javed did not see how the fight started but he tried to pull Ahmed away in a bid to break up trouble on the shop floor.
It was then Forhad Ahmed pushed him over, held him down and struck him repeatedly with the keys.
Mr Javed tried to get up while injured and dazed but Ahmed knocked him back on to the floor.
An ambulance was called and paramedics alerted the police after becoming suspicious about how Mr Javed received his injuries. Police visited hospital and took CCTV footage of the attack, the court heard.
Forhad Ahmed charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. However, the Crown accepted his guilty plea to the lesser offence of unlawful wounding and he was jailed for 27 months and received restraining order not to contact Mr Javed.
